The police museum that comes to you!
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
As a retired officer myself I am very aware that it can often be difficult to choose a suitable present to celebrate the service of a police officer, either still in service retired or a lost loved one or friend.
Following an experimental design using donated uniform and insignia from my brother, who had been a serving officer, I decided to make him a clock using the tunic buttons, collar / shoulder numbers, badges and rank markings. I was very surprised with the outcome, even more surprised at the attention and requests coming from officers and their families for clocks to mark their service or the service of a lost loved police officer. As I have now created a large number in various designs I thought it was time to offer my services to the UK.
EVERY CLOCK IS MADE TO ORDER, TAKING APPROX 14 DAYS. I DO SOMETIMES TAKE A BREAK FROM MAKING THESE CLOCKS DUE TO OTHER COMMITMENTS, SO IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO MESSAGE EMAIL OR RING ME ASAP.
HOW I MAKE YOUR UNIQUE SERVICE CLOCK

LOG SLICE
I begin with a natural tree log slice which has been kiln dried and sanded to a smooth finish.
Every log slice is of course unique in shape and size but all are 25-30 cm in diameter. Should you desire a smaller or larger one it may be possible.

VARNISHING
Over a period of 7 days the most suitable face of the log slice is then varnished. I use a high quality clear gloss yacht varnish building up coats. The varnish darkens the wood and brings out the natural features such as rings and knots.

FEATURES
Using your own personal uniform items, or some supplied by me, We then agree a design for your clock. On receipt of your items I build the clock and fit a quartz battery operated movement set into the rear and a wall mounting wire.
